it was a good weekend!

man, could you pack more into one weekend? i think not. okay, you probably could, but i enjoyed mine just fine the way it was.

we have been moving for like the last 3 months. finally got most of the last of it the weekend before, however still had to finish up on a little carpentry work that was started. we were able to finish that up during the week. this gave us a break on friday to go see Disney on Ice 'The Incredibles'. i know, sounds lame, but we really enjoyed it. 1st off, no-one could skate. the mom fell, buzz lightyear fell(don't ask how he was in this), frozone fell, then mickey, yes the mouse, got tripped up by that girl of his in the final number and busted his little squeaky butt. that had to be embarrasing seeing as he was the one the kiddies cheered loudest for, and then BLAM. it was fun. pua was getting a bit fussy by this point, but we left, she slept in the ride home, and the family survived $40 poorer(and that was just for dinner and the $10 cotton candy).

saturday, oh what a night. middle of march, back in 2006. what a very special time for alejandro and liza. they had their bachelor and bachelorette party on the same night. how convienent. both coming home from parties and strippers, drunk, to each other. how romantic is that. if that doesn't scream a nine month accident, i don't know what does. we ate pizza, drank beer, liquor, went to a club that was highly overrated and crowded (if you have to wait to get in until someone leaves, there are to many people in the damn club), ended up at a well know topless club to celebrate the last bit of bachelorhood alejandro had left, and ended up getting home, showering, crawling into bed around 3:30am. not a bad way to spend the evening.

sunday, oh sunday. on the side note, the inlaws took pua for sat night so that woman and i could go see naked people. the best benefit of this was not the nudity, but sleeping in on sunday until 10:30. this was the 1st real weekend that i have slept past maybe 7:30, 8 on a good day in 18 months. it was awesome. just to lay there and have no reason to get up before the rest of the house. gosh i can't wait the the kids can leave the house!!!

we did finally finish cleaning out the house. we were supposed to close on friday, but underwriting screwed up. we were supposed to close yesterday, but underwriting screwed up. we had an appointment at 2 to close today, but underwriting screwed up. this is getting old quickly. eitherway, the house is empty and ready for the buyers to move in. we just need to get this done by thursday. we won't be here friday to do it. so everything is out, and either in storage or storage. but we are cool with that. went to pick up pua. somehow i managed to lay down and get like a 20 min nap. what a great weekend. i slept in and took a nap in the same day!! fabulous.

well, that is all for now. i have 2 weddings coming up, i get to see all of my family together for the first time since pua was born, and hope to take some pictures for posterity sake. here's looking at me kid.

something new (finally)

holy hell it has been a while.
new things in life keeping me busy.

however, glad to say that there are a couple of weddings coming up.
first off, sister and firefighter john marrying on 4/1/06.
i know, april fools, but they are fools in love.

then alejandro and liza on 4/8/06.
i think that we will have to postpone his bachelor party until after the weddings.
to much going on b4 then to plan it right.

reffing ball quite a bit.
i hope to have fall's tuition paid for before 2 long.
also, got my 3rd rating so i can move up and make more cha-ching.
trying to travel to a qualifier, but they all seem to be 4/1 or 4/8.
for some reason, i seem to be busy those days.

been playing on wed at 24 hr, but that may soon stop.
1, the play is okay, better for socializing.
2, the temps are climbing and getting warmer by the day.
that's right, gotta get in the sand.
should be able to try to play a bit more this summer than last.

spring fling will be here april 29-30
spikefest on june 17-18
would like to get to the beach a couple of times
then we have grass here locally

running.
trying to finally meet a couple of goals that i have been missing for 2 yrs.
1 avg 25 miles month.
2 avg 1 mile per day for year.

2 years ago developed compartment syndrome.
that will stop you in your tracks.
then i have this issue with running in the cold.
actually, not an issue, i just won't do it.
so part of my year is taken away except i now am more friendly to treadmills.
last year my cs acted up again when i got into it, and i sustained an ankle injury.
this year i am off to a pretty good start.
except february was a little spacey. only 7.8 miles.
but as of 3/10/06, i am up to 44.8 miles.
today is the 69th day of the year. i am only 25 days behind.
i will get caught up.
