what a good weekend this was

good weekend. friday night was our anniversary. 5 years with that woman, along with a good 16 months with pua, 6 years with andika, and 5 with pudge, since he came with that woman. we dropped pua off down in temple and headed down to the nearest koa over in belton. to some, not a very romantic way to spend the anniversary, but to us it was perfect. chilly night, so lots of snugglin. put a movie in the portable dvd player, and with no children, it was wonderful. no more details will be given here. sorry pervs.

saturday the in-laws were celebrating caleb’s mighty fine 5th birfday. his unlucky soul was born the day before we got married. normally i would think that this would all but destroy our wedding, with all the attention now on the newest addition of the family. actually, this was far from the truth. the wedding went well, he even walked down the aisle with mommy. (we didn’t make her, long story) it will forever be the birfday parties afterwards that will ruin my anniversary. you see, if i ever decide to go somewhere to celebrate my day in the sun, i miss his. a surefire pain in the butt decision. so far, no money to go anywhere special, so not an issue, but one of these days alice, POW!!! caleb’s party was fun, lots of kids, stien’s cake, blue bell ice cream. good times. also went to cavenders and bought a new pair of boots. a new black pair of larry mahans to replace my naconas that are ancient considering they were my dad’s. hard to let them go, but dammit they hurt. saturday after the party, we drove down to waller to meet up with my sister and get to the real business at hand.

i am happy to say that we sold our van. bought it in march, sold in following january, net loss of $300 in sale and $180 in title transfer. needs new rack and pinion steering ($800,) alignment ($50,) the locks were jacked and needed a new relay probably ($50 parts and labor,) needed new weather stripping all the way around ($100,) back glass hydraulics shot ($35,) and i think fuse was out for interior lights ($.50.) all in all, i think i got my money’s worth out of it. in return, i decided to buy back my miata from my sista, and she was okay selling it back. bought it from her for what I sold it for. she replaced the battery, which i had replaced in ’04. she got a discount from auto zone seeing as the paperwork was with the car. considering she never drove the car, i did not feel to bad letting her pay for it, however i think i offered to pay for half but was denied. there was some damage to a small part on the back trying to jump start it, however, that is replaceable and i am not to worried about it for now.

needless to say, it rained like noah was in town on saturday night and sunday. it was good and bad. good because tx is in need of the drench, but bad because rain is so depressing. however, firefighter john decided to go out on the 4 wheeler. we convinced katrina to go with him. my memory card was pretty full when they went out, however i did get a couple of good photos. i will post them later. they both got drenched, but had a blast. the water was described by katrina as the kinda cold that hurts she was shivering for a good hour after her shower. we played games all weekend, did some homework, and played with pua all weekend. it was fun. i will try to post up some pictures soon, but no promises. i would like to thank all those involved in a great weekend. i would not be disappointed with many more of those.
